Findlay Commerce Park, southwest of the Interstate 75-Hancock County 99 interchange, is ideal for businesses handling banking, credit card and marketing data, American Electric Power said Monday.
The site at Findlay’s north edge is one of only two in American Electric Power’s service area in Ohio to win the distinction. Hilliard is the other. American Electric Power named a total of nine sites in its 11-state service area as being ready for business data centers.
Findlay Commerce Park includes 148 undeveloped acres north and east of The RightThing, 3401 Technology Drive. It has abundant electric power, fiber optics for telecommunications and water service for cooling and fire protection, said Tim Mayle, assistant director of Findlay-Hancock County Economic Development.
“Findlay Commerce Park is shovel-ready with all utilities on site and it is zoned C-2, a flexible category allowing data centers, offices, call centers,” American Electric Power Economic & Business Development states. “The site demonstrates excellent potential for data center development and the site offers strong utility infrastructure.”
